Question by Bomb_chele: When you are pregnant with your second child, and it is the opposite sex of the first, how do you feel?

I'm looking for personal experiences of people who's second child is the opposite sex of their first.

My husband and I are TTC. We have a 2 year old daughter. When I was pregnant the first time, we didnt care if we had a boy or a girl. Now that we have a girl, I dont know how to feel about the idea of having a boy. My husband and both enjoy having a daughter SOOO much that we are kind of afraid of what it might be like to have a boy. I know that probably sounds terrible, and we would of course LOVE any child that we have. But has anyone else ever been a little nervous of having a child of the opposite sex of your first?

My first is a boy, and I've loved every second of being his mommy....even during those crazy, maniac, running at full speed years, when I was always convinced that he was going to crack his head open or strangle the cat.....
We waited four years before getting pregnant with our daughter, and I was psyched to have a girl...which is funny, because I never really "owned" my own feminine identity, but there I was, buying little socks with lace ruffles and EVERYTHING pink.....We take mommy and me dance lessons and yoga and all....it's just nuts.
So, I enjoyed the anticipation of both....and, of course, they're all so different, regardless of gender...
